The Darcy Rollneck, a new addition to the two-tone range of rollneck jumpers unique to The Biggs Collection,  is named after the aloof romantic hero of Jane Austen's novel 'Pride & Prejudice'.

We ( Stanly Biggs ) have taken one of our favourite colourways, the cinnamon and paired it with our gorgeous oatmeal (both previously used in the collection) to create such an exciting combination.

Fitzwilliam Darcy, or simply Mr Darcy, was the noble and superior romantic interest to the novel's main protagonist, Elizabeth Bennet.

His estates were the fictional Pemberley Hall, located in the heart of the Derbyshire Peak District. It is said Austen's insiration for The Pemberley Estate, and the novel, followed after she visited the stunning Chatsworth House & Gardens, located in the heart of The Peak District.

Fans of the 2005 screen adaptation will know that much of the film was filmed in Derbyshire, including Chatsworth House. The famous statues of Chatsworth were the direct inspiration for the famous works at Pemberley and were included in the film. The statue of Mr Darcy was an addition to the collection, of course! It is well worth a visit.

This traditionally designed rollneck has a high waistband that can be pulled down full or tucked up folded over. Warm and versatile, this all-wool pullover is an essential part of anyone’s wardrobe.
