The Bosworth Jumper represents The House of Lancaster (The Red Rose) and The Battle of Bosworth that marked the end of The War of The Roses.

King Richard III, the last King of The House of York, was defeated by Henry Tudor, son to Lady Margaret Beaufort of The House of Lancaster. Henry was crowned King Henry VII of England in 1485, marking the beginning of a new Royal Household; The House of Tudor.

King Henry did much to ensure the security of the new House, one in particular was to marry Elizabeth of York. Daughter to King Edward IV and neice of King Richard III. It is believed it was this union that caused many Yorkists to support Henry in favour of Richard III.

Richard III, the last Plantagenet King was buried in Greyfriars Church Leicester, but it was not until 2012 that his remains were rediscovered. He is now buried in Leicester Cathedral, though many believe as The Last King of York, he should have been re-interned at York Minster.

The twin to this jumper is The Warwick Jumper, and represents the other House involved in The War of The Roses, The House of York.

In burgundy yarn with fitted collar and a deep waitsband, this is a highly versatile sweater with iconic vintage clothing styling.
